Machine Shop Services

While specializing in boat parts and repair, the machine shop at Superior Marine Ways, Inc. can perform a variety of metal shaping. Machinists are often building wheel and rudder shafts, installing nickel-chromium-boron sleeves, building up wear points with stainless steel, or working closely with the fabrication shop to create new parts. A CNC lathe with the capacity to turn a 12” X 40’ shaft, including tapers, threads, inside & outside cutting, is one of the more versatile machines. A mix of other mills, lathes, grinder, saws, and presses round out the most widely used equipment. A 25,000lb Morgan overhead crane allows large parts to be moved or loaded/unloaded easily. Over 30 years of machinist experience ensures you project will be done right. Finished products can be created from raw materials and a drawing. Competitive pricing and a short lead-time window makes Superior Marine the place to have your machine work done.
